The location where you made the request is determined via your device’s geolocation when you request for an e-Travel Chit.
Yes, you may request for the chit for up to 3 hours from the time the disruption ends. This 3-hour buffer takes into consideration the time it takes to travel between the two furthest stations.
This is to verify that you were affected by a disruption.
The effective range is a 100-metre radius from the centre of an MRT station. Once you are out of this range, your request will be unsuccessful and you will be notified.
The QR code is for verifying the authenticity of the Travel Chit.
This allows you to quickly and conveniently share your e-Travel Chit with your supervisor, as well as keep a copy for your own archival purposes.
It is a service designed to ensure the email sender is real, and is a system’s default mechanic to weed out suspicious activity.
Only the latest 3 chits from the past 30 days are archived. You can, however, keep a copy of your e-Travel Chits by emailing them to yourself.
